About
I've always been interested in how things work, not just in theory, but in real life.
How people make decisions. What drives them. And what actually leads to meaningful outcomes over time.
I'm Moritz Purer.
I grew up in Austria and spent a big part of my early life in sports. I went to a sports high school and eventually became a professional slackliner. At one point, I was performing onboard one of the largest cruise ships in the world. Looking back, that time taught me a lot.
It taught me that taking risks is often worth it. That stepping out of your comfort zone is where growth happens. And that with enough consistency, even things that once felt impossible can become real.
I learned everything myself, without a coach, and went from starting out to winning competitions and performing professionally. More importantly, I learned that passion alone isn't enough. It takes discipline.
Then things changed.
When the pandemic hit, that path suddenly stopped. What felt like a setback at the time forced me to rethink everything. But it also opened a new direction. I started focusing on my academic path, studying International Business Administration and later moving into business analytics. Around the same time, I began investing and thinking more deeply about money, markets, and long-term decisions.
Over time, I realized that money is powerful, but not in the way most people think. It's not the goal. It's a tool. A tool that can create freedom, or the opposite, depending on how you use it.
Another layer that became increasingly important to me is data and analytics. While creativity and intuition matter, I believe better decisions come from combining them with evidence. Data helps cut through noise and build a clearer understanding of reality, especially in business, investing, and everyday decisions.
And then came AI.
What fascinates me about artificial intelligence is not just the technology itself, but what it enables. We are entering a time where individuals can build, test, and scale ideas, products, and small businesses faster than ever before. The barrier between thinking and building is shrinking. At the same time, it's easy to get lost in the hype. So the real question becomes: how do we actually use these tools in a meaningful way?
That's where Purer Labs comes in.
Purer Labs is my space to document what I learn, build, and rethink across AI, business, finance, and decision-making. Not in theory, but through real projects, real experiments, and real outcomes. This includes building small tools, exploring business ideas, analyzing markets, and sharing insights that come from actually doing the work.
I write about things that I'm actively trying to understand myself:
- how to turn ideas into real things, from first concept to execution
- how to make better decisions with imperfect information
- how to use money as a tool, not an end goal
- how to stay focused in a world full of distractions
This is not about quick tips or empty motivation. It's about thinking clearly, building intentionally, and learning through doing. If that resonates with you, you're in the right place.
